Waterloo, Illinois, has been a steadily growing community since the 1980s. D & A Builders has been a key developer in the area throughout the decades, building both commercial and residential areas. County Prestress & Precast was proud to partner with D & A Builders, a company that values community growth for this residential development.
Phases 5 and 6 of the Remlok Development involved installing County Prestress & Precast’s ArchCast Precast Bridge Systems over two creeks in the developing neighborhood. D & A Builders specified our ArchCast systems for their speed and ease of installation. Manufactured in our Salem, IL, plant, the precast components were shipped to the work site and installed in only one day.
ArchCast systems are ideal for applications like the Remlok project, mitigating flood risk and maintaining streambed ecosystems. ArchCast Precast Bridge Systems provide a prolonged life expectancy that can reach and exceed 100 years, and their precast fabrication can accelerate construction schedules. Additionally, they meet AASHTO & ASTM specifications and material requirements for the Illinois Department of Transportation.
