Solution: Prestressed products provide durability, structural strength, and space efficiency for award-winning distribution center.
Prestressed Products Specified for Award-Winning Distribution Center
The Uline WQ Distribution Center, a nearly 1.5 million-square-foot warehouse in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was designed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials.
After specifying precast and prestressed components for multiple successful distribution centers, Uline specified County Prestress & Precast’s insulated wall panels and hollowcore plank for this project, which was recognized with two real estate awards in 2024.
Prestressed products were specified for this project for their durability, structural strength, and ability to maximize usable vertical space in the facility. Insulated wall panels provide an energy efficient building envelope that resists forklift damage and requires minimal maintenance throughout its extended service life. Hollowcore is commonly specified in distribution centers to serve as a floor structure for a mezzanine level because of its simple and efficient installation.
Project Highlights:
County Prestress & Precast relied on its superior production capacity to manufacture and deliver 355 wall panels and 171 hollowcore planks to meet this project’s aggressive construction schedule. Additionally, our experienced team helped ensure the success of the overall project by closely coordinating with general contractor Hunzinger and erector MVP Erectors to overcome staging and access challenges.
