The experiences and skills that military veterans and service members bring are valued, recognized, and appreciated in the concrete manufacturing industry. At County Prestress & Precast, we actively recruit veterans and service members and work to ensure that our hiring practices and policies help veterans transition into fulfilling careers after service.
To help us achieve these goals, the County Materials family of companies has invested in a Gold Business Membership in the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC). We proudly support the WVCC’s advocacy efforts on behalf of Wisconsin veterans and appreciate their dedication to promoting opportunities for veterans, military families, and veteran-friendly businesses. We also participate in the Chamber’s Invest in Vets program, which helps local businesses learn how to recruit and retain veteran talent and understand how they provide value.
The County Materials family of companies also partners with Disabled American Veterans (DAV), an organization that helps more than a million veterans every year. The organization helps veterans and their spouses find employment by offering job fairs, mentorship, and education to transitioning active duty, Guard and Reserve members, veterans and their spouses. DAV also provides education to employers about how to offer disabled veterans fulfilling careers after service and helps connect employers to veterans seeking employment.
Lastly, we also participate in the Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) Program, a program run by the U.S. Army to connect soldiers with America's business community. As a PaYS participant, we guarantee an interview to soldiers after they leave the Army.
