Dare to Care Food Bank collaborates with over 300 local agencies, including food pantries, shelters, and emergency kitchens, to provide 22 million meals each year. Established in 1969 in Louisville, Kentucky, the organization was founded in response to the tragic death of a nine-year-old boy who died from malnutrition. Since then, the community has united in the fight against hunger to ensure that everyone has access to the nourishment needed to live a healthy, active life.
County Prestress & Precast partners with Dare to Care Food Bank to feed the hungry and conquer the need cycle. One initiative they offer is Cooking Matters, a nutrition program designed to empower families with limited resources by providing the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare healthy, affordable meals.
County Prestress & Precast, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, targets support to worthy organizations like Dare to Care. We partner with organizations that support individuals in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building
