County Prestess & Precast partners with Dare to Care Food Bank on their mission to feed the hungry and conquer the need cycle. The Louisville-based organization was created nearly 50 years ago in response to the passing of a nine-year-old boy who died of malnutrition in his home. Since then, the community has fought to eradicate hunger by ensuring everyone has enough food to live an active, healthy life. Dare to Care partners with more than 300 community agencies along the Kentucky-Indiana border to distribute food and provide more than 21 million meals annually.
Dare to Care is a community leader in feeding the hungry. They fulfill their mission through innovative programs, efficient operations and by partnering with local food pantries, shelters, and kitchens to get food to people in need.
County Prestess & Precast, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, targets support to worthy organizations like Dare to Care. We partner with organizations that support individuals in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Members & Veterans Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
