County Prestress & Precast partners with Alternatives, Inc. to support more than 2,500 women and children each year as they escape abusive relationships at home. The organization is located in Central Indiana and works to eradicate domestic and sexual violence through education, prevention, and intervention.
Trained staff help survivors draft safety plans, arrange temporary housing, and escape cyclical abuse successfully. Alternatives offers programming for children that focuses on establishing high self-esteem, enhancing school performance, and forming healthy relationships. The organization also extends its services to the community, offering professional training, education sessions, employment training, dating violence prevention, and other workshops catered to survivors and supporters.
