County Prestress Supports Dare to Care in Providing Meals to Those in Need

Apr 6, 2022

Dare to Care Food Bank is on a mission to feed the hungry and conquer the cycle of need. The Louisville-based organization was created nearly 50 years ago in response to the passing of a nine-year-old boy who died of malnutrition in his home. Since then, the community has fought to eradicate hunger by ensuring everyone has enough food to live an active, healthy life. Dare to Care partners with more than 300 community agencies along the Kentucky-Indiana border to distribute food and provide more than 23 million meals annually.

County Prestress, through the Sonnentag Foundation, provides Dare to Care the resources to serve more meals in Clark County, IN. Each year, the Sonnentag Foundation supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
