For more than 120 years, Guardian Angel Community Services has been helping Joliet, Illinois residents overcome adversity and make lasting change. The organization empowers survivors of domestic assault to regain control of their lives and develop renewed ways of thinking that promote harmony and wellbeing. Through its Groundwork Domestic Violence Program, Guardian Angel Community Services provides emergency shelter, individual and group counseling, legal and medical advocacy, a 24-hour hotline and prevention education.
Through the Sonnentag Foundation, County Prestress supports dozens of charitable organizations and causes in four key service areas: Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
