As part of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s infrastructure improvements initiative, an aging steel truss bridge along Highway 82 was replaced with prestress girders. Project leaders specified County Prestress & Precast's Prestressed Bridge Girders to reconstruct the large 11-span bridge, south of the original structure. Prestress girders were chosen for their resilient strength and reliable durability. County Materials delivered 66 72-inch-tall prestress girders, each 147 feet-long and 148,000 pounds.
