The Verona Road along US Highway 18/151 was easily congested and posed a hazard due to its dated design. To reduce the number of accidents, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation coordinated a multi-year replacement project to improve traffic flow. The project outlined the expansion of several highways and the reconstruction of the Williamsburg Way and McKee Road interchanges. County Prestress & Precast's nearby Janesville, WI facility manufactured 66 prestressed bridge girders, which were delivered with unmatched speed to keep the project on schedule.
