Changing How Veterans Reintegrate with Their Communities

Dec 27, 2022

County Prestress’ partnership with Easterseals Crossroads helps to serve military families with reintegration services for veterans after they return from active duty. The organization recognizes that many challenges await veterans when they come home. Easterseals offers personal career coaching, resume development, networking opportunities, job search assistance, and a weekly job club.

Easterseals Crossroads is committed to serving veterans and their families with the depth of support they deserve. In addition to career services, they provide housing, education, and healthcare programs.

For more than 85 years, the organization has been helping individuals gain greater independence, achieve personal goals, and improve their mobility emotionally and economically. They provide specific programs for transitioning high school students looking to start a career. For adults, they help to maximize their full potential in daily living, quality of life, and employment.

For children with disabilities and autism, they offer outpatient programs that include occupational, physical, and speech-language therapy to help children grow, develop and thrive. The organization provides respite programs for necessary physical care and recreational activities for the children while offering parents and caregivers a well-deserved break.

County Prestress, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
