Bridge Reconstruction Relies on County Prestress's Bridge Girders

Feb 15, 2022

County Prestress & Precast's Prestressed Bridge Girders were selected to rebuild the Racine Street Bridge. The new bridge improved traffic flow and boat passage. Increased vertical clearance allowed more boats to pass under the bridge without need for a drawbridge. Prestressed girders can withstand heavy loads, ideal for the numerous motor vehicles that cross the bridge each day. The girders’ inherent durability resists the elements, enduring freeze/thaw cycles during the winter months. County Prestress & Precast manufactured and delivered 28 153-foot-long prestressed bridge for the project. Working with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, delivery times were efficiently communicated to install the girders and reopen the bridge for Menasha, WI residents.
