County Prestress & Precast's Prestressed Bridge Girders were selected for Wisconsin’s first Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI), built to replace an existing I-39/90 interchange near Janesville, WI. Designed to enhance safety, a DDI shifts traffic to the opposite side of the road on both ends. County Prestress & Precast manufactured and delivered 30 115-foot-long prestressed girders for the project. Prestressed girders arrive ready-to-install, requiring less road closure time than girders that are cast on-site. The girders’ proven resistance to inclement weather and heavy wear over an extended service life makes them a cost-effective solution for highway infrastructure.
