Partnering with Sojourner Family Peace Center to Prevent Domestic Violence

Written by Admin | May 8, 2024

Sojourner Family Peace Center has been helping families affected by domestic violence since 1975. The organization is currently the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin and serves nearly 8,000 individuals each year. In addition to a 24-hour crisis line, Sojourner provides case management, psychotherapy services, crisis housing, and programs to help victims achieve safety, justice, and well-being.

County Prestress & Precast partners with Sojourner Family Peace Center. Our financial support contributes to operating the emergency shelter and 24-hour hotline. It also enabled Sojourner to launch a recent community awareness campaign focused on the dangers of domestic violence. Bus ads and billboards were posted in the 10 zip codes most affected by violence within Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and window clings, stickers, and business cards were displayed by local partners.

Sojourner is located at the Family Peace Center, one of the country’s first co-located child advocacy and family violence centers. The organization offers a single stop for families affected by domestic violence, providing the services and support survivors need to attain safety and healing under one roof. County Prestress & Precast is proud to partner with the organization and contribute to the work they do in local communities.

Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, we partner with organizations and causes in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Members & Veterans Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
