County Prestress supports the vision of Turningpoint for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence to end domestic and sexual violence in Wisconsin’s Peirce and St. Croix counties. The organization has been an ally to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse for nearly 40 years. Founded as a crisis line and safe house, Turningpoint has grown to offer a crisis shelter, legal advocacy, support groups, safety planning, and violence prevention education. In addition to serving women and children, Turningpoint breaks the stigma and extends its services to men. Often an underserved population, 1 in 10 men experience sexual or domestic abuse in their lifetime.
Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, County Prestress supports dozens of charitable organizations like Turningpoint in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Member & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
