Empowering Survivors of Violence Through HOPE

Written by Admin | Oct 21, 2024

Through HOPE of East Central Illinois, County Prestress & Precast empowers individuals to lead independent, violence-free lives by providing housing, outreach, prevention, and education services. Founded by a domestic abuse survivor with support from community partners, HOPE began as a small shelter in a two-bedroom apartment. It has since expanded to include a 24-bed shelter, five transitional housing units, and a 24/7 crisis hotline. The organization serves seven rural counties in Central Illinois, providing education, group and individual counseling, referrals, and children’s services, including a therapeutic summer recreation program.

County Prestress & Precast partners with local organizations through the Sonnentag American Foundation. The Foundation aligns support with four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Veteran and Service Member Support, Sexual Abuse & Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
