County Prestress, LLC, an affiliate of County Materials Corporation, announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of the Illinois-based company Illini Precast effective August 20, 2020. This acquisition includes manufacturing assets and real estate for Illini Precast’s facilities in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. County Prestress, LLC will be headquartered in Westmont, IL.
Illini Precast has been an established and successful full service prestressed concrete manufacturing company since 2007. The purchase fits into County Prestress, LLC’s strategy to expand into Midwest markets serving the commercial construction industry. County Prestress, LLC will offer a range of structural and architectural prestressed and precast products including parking structure decks, elevators and stair towers, Insulated Sandwich Walls (ISWs), bridge girders and beams, and hollowcore plank.
County Prestress, LLC’s managing member, Tim Sonnentag, said, “This investment represents an important strategic opportunity to be a full-service prestressed concrete products provider for the Midwest commercial construction industry.” He also commented, “This acquisition provides a major growth opportunity to meet the needs of construction professionals.
