For over 120 years, Guardian Angel Community Services has served survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault in Joliet, IL. The organization provides life-saving services through its Groundwork Domestic Violence Program, including a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, individual counseling, domestic violence education, legal and medical advocacy, prevention education, and community outreach. Each year, the program helps nearly 5,800 survivors regain their identity, grow emotionally stronger, and develop renewed ways of living that promote well-being.

County Prestress, through the Sonnentag Foundation, helps Guardian Angel Community Services sustain its Groundwork Domestic Violence Program and empower survivors. Each year, the Sonnentag Foundation supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four services areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Military Personnel and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Youth Mentoring and Skills Building.
