County Prestress partners with Community Action Inc., Beloit, Wisconsin, to prevent and reduce poverty in Rock and Walworth Counties. The organization provides access and opportunity through innovative programs that eliminate barriers and establish clear pathways out of poverty, such as childcare, academic success and workforce readiness, emergency food assistance, and affordable housing services. Community Action helps students succeed in the Beloit Fresh Start YouthBuild AmeriCorps program, which co-enrolls students who dropped out of high school with the School District of Beloit. Participants learn how to help themselves and find purpose within the community.
Through the Sonnentag Foundation, County Prestress supports charitable organizations and causes in four key service areas: Hunger & Homelessness Support, Service Members & Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring & Skills Building.
