County Prestress & Precast Aids Lake County Education Foundation

Written by Admin | Jan 25, 2023

The Education Foundation of Lake County works to engage communities with public education classrooms to enhance instruction quality and ensure the success of high school students in Florida’s Lake and Sumter Counties.

The organization was founded in 1987 with a goal to provide homework assistance for low-performing students. Since then, the Education Foundation of Lake County has expanded its programming to include student scholarships, grants for teachers to buy classroom supplies, teacher recognition initiatives, and a program called Take Stock in Children.

Designed to break the cycle of poverty for low-income, academically qualified students, Take Stock in Children pairs high school sophomores with adult mentors to inspire them to pursue post-secondary education and help them navigate the process.

Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, County Precast is honored to partner with organizations in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
