Contractors relied on County Prestress & Precast to manufacture and deliver durable reinforced concrete pipe and prestressed bridge girders for the reconstruction of The Zoo Interchange in Milwaukee. The interchange is the busiest in Wisconsin’s Interstate system, and contractors pursued an accelerated schedule to maximize taxpayer funds and reduce inconvenience.
County Prestress & Precast's Reinforced Concrete Pipe was specified for its low life cycle cost and ability to integrate with future expansions. Relying on its enhanced production capacity, County Prestress & Precast supplied more than 37,850 LF of reinforced concrete pipe, 500 LF of horizontal elliptical pipe, and 1,150 precast structures for the largest highway project in Wisconsin history.
