During the 2010s, investments were made to increase our market share, enhance our manufacturing capabilities, and position our company for growth.
As construction technologies evolved, County Materials led with innovation. Investments were made in new production facilities and manufacturing technologies for high-performance bridge girders and concrete landscape and masonry products. These advancements contribute to County Materials’ reputation as an industry leader and allowed us to continuously push limits. In 2019, County Materials manufactured the largest prestressed bridge girders in the Midwest at the time. Each 187-foot-long girder weighed more than 240,000 pounds. Our company continued to grow through acquisitions, which increased the capacity of our block, ready-mix, precast, and prestress divisions and allowed us to expand and begin manufacturing insulated sandwich wall panels.
