This year, County Materials proudly celebrates 75 years in business. We are a leading manufacturer and trusted industry resource for concrete construction and landscape products, dedicated to providing reliable solutions for safer, stronger communities.
During the 2000s, our company continued to push the limits through innovation and expansion. New technology allowed us to increase our pipe and girder production, and we expanded into hollowcore and additional specialty precast products. In 2003, we renamed our company County Materials Corporation. The same year, our company earned its second Harry H. Edwards Industry Advancement Award for manufacturing 21,000 precast tunnel segments for the Minnesota Hiawatha Light Rail Tunnel in Minneapolis – Saint Paul. Additional plant openings and acquisitions enabled our company to increase capacity and market share within our block, prestress, ready-mix, aggregates, and pipe and precast product divisions.
